Daybreak Alberta

Whether it's homeopathy, vitamins, or even cannabis, claims about what supposed "natural" health products can achieve have had a lot of free reign to make all manner of claims. However, science has continually sounded the alarm on these claims to often a chorus of skepticism thanks in part to celebrity endorsements. And then you have false claims against proven health remedies like autism vaccines and flouride that have had their effecacy challenged by very famous and very un-scientific public personalities. A new docu-series "A User's Guide to Cheating Death" is streaming on Netflix and with each episode, Tim Caulfield challenges the science behind major health fads drawing upon his years as a health policy professor at the University of Alberta. Tim spoke with Russell Bowers about the show.
