A lot of Calgarians head to the trendy inner city district of Mission to dine, spin or shop. But the area used to be home to a thriving Francophone village known as Rouleauville. The community's French roots have been highlighted in recent years and a group has been lobbying to have the district designated a national historic site. But that application has been rejected. Marilyn Williams is the co-chair of the Mission-Rouleauville District Nomination Working Group. She joined host Doug Dirks in studio.
