Calgary Inferno coach Shannon Miller

The Homestretch

Training camp is now underway for the Calgary Inferno women's pro hockey team. They start the season with a new head coach. Shannon Miller returns to Calgary after spending 16 years as an NCAA five-time national championship coach for the University of Minnesota Duluth. Miller, of course, has an impressive CV: former coach of Team Canada that won three world women's championship gold medals and an Olympic silver, a former Calgary police officer, and she was also one of the three women who started up the first ever girls' minor hockey team in Calgary. Shannon Miller joined host Doug Dirks live in studio.
