Manitoba Hydro's effects on northern Manitoba communities: Grand Rapids

The Fox Lake Cree Nation isn't the only Manitoba community that's been affected by Hydro development. A report released last week detailed allegations of abuse and racism by hydro and contract workers in that community. But before Fox Lake, 600 kilometres away in Grand Rapids, locals say their lives were changed forever when workers from the south moved in. Gerald MacKay was five years old when Hydro development started in 1960. He's a member of the Misipawistik Cree Nation, near Grand Rapids. Gerald spoke with Marcy Markusa on Information Radio
