Will the Sudbury 5 have a floor in time for basketball season?

Morning North

The Sudbury Five are getting set to hit the court for their inaugural season in the National Basketball League of Canada this November. The team still doesn't have a hardwood floor to play on. Now, the City of Greater Sudbury is currently in the process of ordering a new basketball floor for the community arena. They issued a tender that closed last week with three bids received. The Five's vice president of basketball operation Bob Johnston estimates the cost of the new court will be around 200-thousand dollars. The price tag will be split evenly between the team and the city. Johnston spoke with the CBC's Benjamin Aubé yesterday.
