Historic Abbot Pass Hut on Alberta-B.C. border closed due to slope erosion

If you had reservations to stay in the historic Abbott Pass Hut in the Rockies this weekend, you're out of luck. The hut is closed until further notice, because the mountain slope is eroding. It is one of more than 30 back country huts run by the Alpine Club of Canada. Rick Gardiner is the facilities director with the club. He spoke with host Doug Dirks.
