Dr. Jodi Edwards discusses research from new Heart and Stroke report

There have been many advances recently in stroke awareness, care and treatment. But a new report from Heart and Stroke shows that women aren't benefiting as much as men. For one: strokes are more deadly for women. Also: women are less likely to regain independence after suffering a stroke. Dr. Jodi Edwards is a scientist and director of the brain and heart nexus program at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. She also contributed to this report and she spoke to Adrian Harewood on the program Our Ottawa.
