'Up to Low' ​ an Ottawa story​ written for the stage by Brian Doyle.

The ​theatre production​ 'Up to Low' ​recently played at the National Arts Centre​​. It's based off of local author Brian Doyle's novel, "The Low Life: 5 Great Tales From Up And Down The River." Set in 1950s Gatineau and the Ottawa Valley, this coming-of-age tale follows the life of 12-year-old Tommy as he, his father and a volatile family friend take a trip to their family cabin, which has been abandoned since Tommy's mother passed away.
