Listening to stories from Pakuashipi

Les fallaises se rapprochent is a new art exhibit by Quebec City-based artist Anne-Marie Proulx based on several visits to the community of Pakuashipi on the Lower North Shore. Instead of speaking for the Innu friends she made there, Proulx is centering their voices, stories, and language in the gallery space. How does one do that with photography? Our Julia Caron stopped by the gallery just before it opened to find out more.
