In the United States, people called “preppers” are doing all they can to survive a global disaster. With concerns ranging from civil unrest to nuclear war to natural disasters, these communities are responding to the stress of an uncertain future.

In Preparing for Armageddon, presenter Stacey Dooley spends time with three prepper communities. Some have bought decommissioned military bunkers, others have isolated themselves from society. Stacey explores the reasons why they are going to such lengths to protect themselves and their families. And she asks — should we all be following their lead and making plans for a global catastrophe?
