Aug 19, 2015
Can you believe the kids will be heading back to school in a few short weeks?
Here's a great way to add some style to your back-to-school supplies: washi tape!
You Will Need:
- washi tape in a variety of patterns and colours (available at craft supply stores and some dollar stores)
- pencils
- notebooks
- scissors
Instructions:
1. For the pencils, take your washi tape and start winding it around the pencil.
Start at the eraser and work your way down until the entire pencil is covered.
There you have it—couldn't be simpler or prettier!

2. For the notebooks, layer your tape in stripes. For a different effect, stick the tape on the notebook diagonally.
Cut the tape off, leaving a bit hanging off each side of your notebook.
Take your scissors and trim the tape from each side of the notebook. Press down any loose ends.
Voilà! A unique and colourful washi tape inspired notebook!
This is such a simple way to make back to school fun, colourful and creative!
Enjoy your one-of-a-kind back-to-school supplies!
