Easy Halloween Mini Pizzas
By Jill Dubien
Oct 23, 2017
The spooky season is upon us and it’s one of my kids’ favourite times of year. My kids love when I make them scary snacks and frightening foods. These mini pizzas were really easy to make and the kids gobbled them up faster than you can say “BOO!”
What You’ll Need:
- English muffins cut in half
- pizza sauce
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- sliced pepperoni
- whole slices of mozzarella cheese
- whole slices of cheddar cheese
- black olives
- baby carrots
- sliced green peppers
How To Make Them:
Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Please supervise children around the oven if they are helping.
Mummy
Slice an English muffin in half. Spread some pizza sauce on the English muffin. Slice your whole piece of mozzarella cheese into strips. Place the strips randomly over the muffin until it is basically covered. Use 2 black olives for the eyes.
Spiders
Slice an English muffin in half. Spread some pizza sauce on the English muffin and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Place 2 whole black olives on top of the cheese. Take one more black olive and slice some tiny legs from it—8 for each spider. Place the tiny legs on the pizza.
Jack-o'-Lantern
Slice an English muffin in half and spread some pizza sauce on top. Use the open end of a drinking glass and cut your slice of cheddar cheese into a circle. Cut a face out of your cheese and place the slice of cheese on top of the English muffin. Stick a small piece of green pepper from the top for a stem.
Owl
Slice an English muffin in half and spread some pizza sauce on top. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Use 2 slices of pepperoni with 2 black olive pieces for the eyes. Cut 3 small triangles out of a baby carrot and use 1 for the beak and 2 for the ears. Take 2 slices of green pepper and put them on the sides for the wings.
Ghost
Slice an English muffin in half and spread pizza sauce on top. Grab a slice of mozzarella cheese and cut it into a ghost shape. Place this ghost on top of the English muffin. Cut 3 small circles from a black olive and place on top of the cheese.
Place these mini pizzas on your sprayed baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes at 350°F or until cheese is melted and muffin is crispy. Remove from oven and serve while warm.
Happy Halloween!
