The 2012 Ottawa Fring Festival. Ottawa's largest theatre festival took place June 14 to 24 at venues in downtown Ottawa.
Now in its sixteenth year, the Ottawa Fringe Festival encourages artists to explore and test boundaries and make bold choices in the creation of art. The guiding principles of the Fringe include unrestricted artistic expression, accessibility and community development.
The Canadian Fringe Festival model is unique in two respects: it guarantees that the artists involved receive 100% of ticket revenue and it does not subject the artists' work to jury approval or censor it in any way.
Keep checking back. We'll be covering the festival on our shows over the next couple of weeks - and posting all of that fabulous content ici!

Ottawa Morning, a postcard of "Mabel's Last Performance"
Mabel is a feisty lady who finds herself in early retirement at a nursing home, thanks to Alzheimer's disease. After a life of being a swinging single and successful actress, the home isn't exactly up to Mabel's speed; she isn't ready to give up on life just yet!
All in a Day, Fringe Theme #6: The Apocalypse
Would you rather survive an apocalypse huddled in a big-box superstore with other survivors while a zombie threat nearby prepares to devour your brand... OR, would you rather survive an apocalypse huddled in a theatre with surviving custodians while an entity called "Corp" prepares to take over your brain?
Tough choice, but representatives from the productions Trashman's Dilemma and Leftovers may help you decide.
Keep checking back - we've got plenty more where this came from. We'll be posting fresh content throughout the week of June 18.
