Tuesdays are great; I usually get a call from Doug or Carol in the shipping department, letting me know that there's a package (or two, or three) of new music for me.

Today, as I was pondering what to play, I got 'the call', so I picked up the envelope.  In it:  the new album from Adele, 21.  It's out as of today (came out in the UK on January 24th).

On last Tuesday's Brit Awards (see previous entry), Adele sang her song "Someone Like You"; after the awards show was broadcast, the song went to #1...joining her album 21, also in the #1 spot.  Here's another phenomenal thing about Adele (as if her voice wasn't enough):  since The Beatles did it in 1964, she's the first living artist to get two top five hits in both the Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart at the same time.  Are you kidding me?

Anyway, once I gave the album a once-through, I decided to play "Someone Like You".  Adele's new album, 21, is out today, AND you can see her here on May 31st at the Commodore Ballroom.
