Vanderhoof Artist Annerose Georgeson

When I was up in Prince George recently - I had the pleasure of seeing the artwork of Annerose Georgeson.

Her evocative paintings in acrylic are currently on exhibit at the Two Rivers Gallery in Prince George until April.

Annerose Georgeson is an artist from nearby Vanderhoof.

It's an area of the province whose forest has been highly impacted by the effects of the mountain pine beetle, forest fires and farming.

But where Annerose Georgeson once saw devastation - she now sees beauty and purpose.

She's turned all these effects on her beloved forest - into art on the canvas.

I spoke to Annerose Georgeson, surrounded by her vibrant, stunning acrylic paintings, in an exhibit called 'Field Notes'.
