Emerald Princess

This cruise ship carrying 3,000 passengers made an unscheduled visit to St. John's. It was supposed to visit Greenland, but the weather was too dodgy. if you like a crowd, and some of us at seen do, Saturday was a great day to go downtown.

Spiders galore

These shots of spider webs festooning the trees were taken during a walk around Quidi Vidi Lake on the weekend. The spiders seemed to be making up for whatever they may have lost during tropical storm Leslie.

The World

The World has arrived in St. John's. It's not a cruise ship but floating condos. People buy a condo on board and get on and off as the ship travels around the world on a continuous basis.

seen got blown away by tropical storm Leslie ... but now it's back.

Big ship

The latest cruise ship arrival into St. John's harbour. It's so big it takes two pictures to capture it.
