At least two Canadians are still in the running to become Charlie Sheen's social media intern.

Only 50 people remain on the list of 82,000 people who applied for the job of managing the troubled actor's social media accounts.

Sepy Bazzazi from Vancouver said he could barely open the email from the former star of the hit sitcom Two and a Half Men, as he waited to hear whether he had been selected.

"I was actually like really anxious and shaking and I didn't open the email for about 15 minutes. I was sitting there looking at it.  I texted all of my friends and my mom and my dad and everybody and I told them that the email's arrived and I don't have the nerve to open it," he said.

"They were all saying send it to me and I'll open it, and finally I worked up the courage and I clicked into it and the first word I read was congratulations and I started howling," said Bazzazi.

Phil Pallen, a former Belleville, Ont., resident, also says he feels he's already "winning" after making it this far.

The 22-year-old now lives in Florida where he is finishing his master's degree in digital marketing in the entertainment business.

Some of those who apparently did not have enough "tiger blood" to make the cut include Barrie, Ont., B-101 radio anchor Lyndsey Vanstone and Brad Slater, a producer for Calgary radio station Fan 960.
