Skylodge pods not for the faint of heart

At $475 per night, the cliffside accommodations are far from your average camping experience. Along with the view, the price tag includes advertised amenities like a first-aid kit and fire extinguisher. Breakfast is also included.

Hike, climb or zip line

To reach the unusual pod lodgings tourists can trek up the steep cliffs of Peru's Sacred Valley, climb 400 metres of near vertical rock on a via ferrata (a steel cable and rungs) or harness up for a zip line ride.

Next best thing to a condor's nest

However you get there, the breath-taking (or nerve-wracking) view is worth the climb, as is the reward of spending a night sleeping in a unique, transparent mountaintop pod.

It's the next best thing to sleeping in a condor's nest, according to the Skylodge Airbnb page.
