Passenger lands plane after pilot dies

A passenger on a small plane flying to Manila managed to bring it down safely after the pilot had a heart attack and died.

Victor Consunji guided the plane into the sea off the coast of the Philippines. He and two other passengers had minor injuries.

Consunji was able to send out an emergency message saying the pilot had had a heart attack. He said he had control of the Cessna but he didn't know how to fly.

A commercial airlines pilot, flying nearby, heard the message and guided the Cessna to a splashdown. The crew of a fishing boat rescued the three passengers.
