German militants said killed in Pakistan strike
Pakistani intelligence officials say five German militants are believed to have been killed in an American missile strike close to the Afghan border.
The officials say the attack hit a house in the town of Mir Ali in North Waziristan late Monday. The victims were believed to be German citizens in the region for terrorist training.
The officials spoke anonymously because their agency does not permit operatives to be named in the media.
Killing so many western militants in a single strike would be unusual. U.S. officials rarely confirm the identities of those targeted by the CIA-led missile campaign.
