Photo of cat on stairs threatens to become next #TheDress
Is this cat going up the stairs or down?

Another optical illusion is spreading around the internet and, like the black and blue dress before it, spurring pointless arguments and ruining friendships.
The grainy, black-and-white photo of a cat is being shared on social media with the question, "Is this cat moving up or down the stairs?"
The viral image website 9gag is largely responsible for this latest optical illusion. A version of the image was uploaded there on March 29 under the title "Forget about the golden dress."
The photo goes back at least a few more years, though. It was uploaded to the Arabic website fay3.com in 2012 with a title that roughly translates to "Cat is neither climbing nor descending."
The debate over the cat on the stairs brings to mind #TheDress question tha captivated social media, the internet and the media at large in February.

A Tumblr user unwittingly started the internet sensation by asking whether the dress was white and gold, or blue and black.
So, what do you think? Is this cat bounding up the stairs, or padding its way down?
