Union defends public sector sick leave
Federal civil servants are calling in sick in record numbers — more than two times the rate of their counterparts in the private sector.
On Friday, Treasury Board President Tony Clement suggested some employees are abusing the system, extending their weekend and spending an extra day at the cottage.
