Schwarzenegger to make cameo in Stallone movie

The governor of California has revealed he'll have a cameo appearance in a new movie produced by friend Sylvester Stallone.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed he'll have a cameo appearance in a new movie produced by friend Sylvester Stallone.

Calling Stallone a great director and writer, the governor of California said he will appear in films for friends.

Since becoming governor in 2003, he said, he's done three cameos in movies.

"Sly asked me if I would do a cameo. I said of course I would help you do a cameo, there's no two ways about that," Schwarzenegger said  while appearing on ABC's This Week.

The movie is The Expendables, which is set for release in 2010.

When asked about the Oscars,the former bodybuilder, 61, said The Reader was one of the best movies he's seen, and he also expressed hope that his friend, Mickey Rourke, would do well at the Oscars on Sunday night.

Rourke is up for best actor for his role in The Wrestler.

Schwarzenegger made a name for himself in movies including Predator, Total Recall and The Terminator series.

His recent onscreen appearances included a three-second cameo in The Rundown, the 2004 remake of Around the World in 80 Days;  in 2005, he appeared as himself in the film The Kid & I.
