Eno in Calgary for High Performance Rodeo

Eno, former musician with Roxy Music and collaborator with Genesis, David Bowie, U2 and others, will be keynote speaker on arts and creativity.
The Glenbow Museum will present 77 Million Paintings, a sound and image installation by Eno, who was trained as a visual artist before he got into music.
He will also do a music residency with the Cantos Music Foundation, which is making its keyboard collection available to him to compose.
Curator Michael Green announced the 2011 lineup for the 25th annual High Performance Rodeo on Wednesday.
Some of the other events:
- Smash Cut Freeze, a new production by One Yellow Rabbit.
- Billy Bishop Goes to War, John Gray and Eric Peterson's story of First World War pilot Billy Bishop, by Theatre Calgary and Toronto's Soulpepper Theatre.
- Acres of Dreams, a one-night musical event by the Calgary Philharmonic and singer-songwriters Kris Demeanor, James Keelaghan, Wendy McNeill and Cadence Weapon.
- Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe by Vertigo and Catalyst Theatre.

International performers include Germany's TheaterLabor with Absurdesque and Swiss dance-theatre production sound machine by Compagnie Drift.
The High Performance Rodeo runs Jan. 6 to 30, 2011, in Calgary.
