Canada Post releases 7 new stamps honouring master photographers

Canada Post has released seven new stamps in a five-year series celebrating noted Canadian photographers.

Works by Herzog, Cohen, Lambeth, Hoy, Vallée, Notman and Burtynsky

Canada Post is unveiling seven new stamps today honouring the works of noted Canadian photographers of the last 150 years.

This latest collection represents the second volume in a five-year series first launch in March 2013.

This batch features iconic works by:

  • Edward Burtynsky.
  • Lynne Cohen.
  • Fred Herzog.
  • C.D. Hoy.
  • Michel Lambeth.
  • William Notman.
  • Louis-Prudent Vallée.

Photography curators, critics and writers from across the country helped choose the artists and their images.

The stamps are available in booklets of 10 domestic stamps ($8.50), and booklets of six for U.S. denominations ($7.20) and international denominations ($11.10).

They were printed by Lowe-Martin Group and designed by Stephane Huot.
