Jamie Salé, the defending champion of CBC's Battle of the Blades, and her skating partner Theo Fleury have been eliminated from the competition.

The three-judge panel, which includes guest judge and skating legend Toller Cranston, eliminated the duo on Monday after they made several errors in Week 6 of the competition. The two were skating for a charity called The Men's Project.

Only four couples remain on the show, which matches figure skaters with former hockey players to learn pairs figure skating: Shae-Lynn Bourne and Patrice Brisebois; Isabelle Brasseur and Todd Warriner; Katia Gordeeva and Valeri Bure; and Kyoko Ina and Kelly Chase.

The winners get $100,000 donated to the charity of their choice.

Salé, who won in the show's first season, counts a gold medal at the 2002 Olympics among her many other figure skating achievements. Fleury was a Stanley Cup champion who also won Olympic gold.
