NDP win in Alberta followed by surprise snow, Twitter blizzard

Between a surprise snowfall and even bigger surprise election result, Edmontonians woke up to a new world on Wednesday - and it didn't take people on Twitter long to connect the two.

      Between a surprise snowfall and even bigger surprise election result, Edmontonians woke up to a new world on Wednesday.

      On Tuesday night, the NDPs lead by Rachel Notley won 53 seats, securing a majority government. Then, within hours, the skies opened to release a heavy layer of wet snow.

      And it didn't take many on Twitter long to draw a connection between the two.

      Some went the tongue-in-cheek route:
