Windsor police investigating posters threatening singer-songwriter Jackson Browne
'BAM! RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES,' poster reads

Police are investigating after flyers encouraging Windsorites to shoot singer-songwriter Jackson Browne during his performance at Caesars Windsor Thursday night were distributed in a Windsor neighbourhood.
Windsor resident Joe McParland discovered the posters spread out across his lawn and road while walking his dog near Victoria Avenue and Shepherd Street.

McParland said in a Facebook post he was "totally shocked" by the handbill, which was riddled with spelling errors.
"Hey Canadiens (sic)," the flyer reads, "Exersize (sic) your 2nd Amendment rights, SHOOT A SOCIALIST!!!"
The pieces of paper included a photo of Browne and described him as a "race traitor" and "socialist trash."
The flyers include the time and location of the artist's 8 p.m. show and encourage people to permanently shut his mouth: "BAM! RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES."
Show will go on
Windsor Police Sgt. Steve Betteridge confirmed police had received a complaint about posters found on Dougall Avenue.
Caesars Windsor manager of communications Jhoan Baluyot, said the casino is aware of the threat and working with Windsor police.
She added no performer has ever been threatened like this before, but Browne's team is aware of the posters and he still plans to perform.
McParland, a fan of Browne, described whoever printed the flyers as "one sick and scary individual."
