Windsor man found with 155 dead cats sentenced
A Windsor man who had 155 dead cats in his downtown Windsor freezer has been sentenced to one year probation.
Jerry Miernecki has also been banned indefinitely from owning more than one animal and it must be spayed or neutered.
The 61-year-old pleaded guilty to permitting cats to be in distress and failing to comply with an order earlier today.
Humane Society officers found a freezer and refrigerator full of dead cats in Miernecky's 920 Ouellette Ave. apartment last December.
