Scarf-wearing pig strolls along Highway 401

Police are investigating reports from motorists of a pig walking along the side of Highway 401 west of London during the morning rush hour.

It gave motorists something to chuckle about during the morning commute on Highway 401 in southwestern Ontario on Thursday.

Provincial police received several reports of a pig walking along the side of the highway in the Dutton area, west of London.

Callers told police the pig was wearing a scarf, Chatham radio station CKSY reported.

Police were unable to find the strolling swine.

OPP media relations officer Const. Troy Carlson confirmed that reports about the pig had been called in, but he had no details.

He said it was believed the animal is someone's pet and police were still investigating.
