RCMP charge Maidstone woman with abusing bankruptcy system
Mounties say the system is intended to help the unfortunate, honest debtor
A 38-year-old Maidstone woman accused of abusing the bankruptcy system is facing charges.
The RCMP's Integrated Bankruptcy Enforcement Unit and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy have charged the woman with six counts of getting credit under false pretences and forging documents.
Investigators have not released any details about the charges, but the Mounties say the bankruptcy system is intended to help the unfortunate, honest debtor.
