The investigation into a fire that ripped through an east-side pizzeria early Thanksgiving Monday will continue today.

The Original Pizza Brothers at the corner of Wyandotte Street E. and Marion Avenue burned at about 4:30 a.m. Monday.

An investigator from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal was on scene Monday and will return Tuesday. A structural engineer was also on site Monday.

Windsor Fire and Rescue noted "heavy fire conditions" when crews arrived. Fire prevention officer John Lee called the fire "stubborn."

Windsor Fire and Rescue says Monday's fire is the fourth in several years at the business. Damage this time is estimated to be between $500,000 and $600,000.

No cause has been determined.

Firefighters spent a good part of Monday putting out hot spots.
