Man suffers burns in south Windsor house fire

One person was rushed to hospital with burns after a house fire in south Windsor Sunday night.

One person was rushed to hospital with burns after a house fire in south Windsor Sunday night. 

It broke out on Spago Crescent around 6:30 p.m. 

Fire officials said there were five people in the house at the time, three of them children.

The person injured was an adult who was trying to extinguish a burning couch.

The strong winds spread the flames causing some damage to a neighbouring house.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire, nor released a damage estimate.

$100 K damage in garage fire

Meanwhile, Windsor's fire department said there was $100,000 in damage to a house on Everts Avenue.

Sunday afternoon, someone was working on a car in the garage, when a fire was accidentally sparked.

No one was hurt there.
