Environment Canada has issued a heat warning that they expect to last into the weekend.

The stretch of hot and humid weather will have daytime highs in the 30s with humidex values approaching the mid-40s.

Wednesday this week may not reach heat warning criteria for the region, but the days before and after will. A cool air mass should arrive by Sunday.

A heat warning is issued by Environment Canada when two or more consecutive days of daytime maximum temperatures are expected to reach 31 C or when two or more consecutive days of humidex values are expected to reach 42 C.
