Cyclist struck by vehicle at Wyandotte and Pillette

A cyclist was allegedly struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Wyandotte Street and Pillette Road.

Traffic in the area is being rerouted

An elderly cyclist was allegedly struck by an elderly driver at the intersection of Wyandotte Street and Pillette Road. (Bob Becken/CBC)

A cyclist was allegedly struck Monday by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Wyandotte Street and Pillette Road.

Witnesses at the scene said that an elderly woman was behind the wheel of a white car that struck the cyclist. 

The cyclist could be heard speaking with another man who called 911, saying "I'm 62 and in lots of pain, please get help."

The driver got out of her vehicle to check on the cyclist.
