Youth program accused remanded in custody
A 33-year-old Toronto man, charged in connection with a sexual assault investigation at a public school in east Toronto, has been remanded in custody.
Louis McRae, of Toronto, made a brief court appearance on Friday where he was remanded in custody until June 23 pending a new date for his bail hearing.
McRae faces three counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference as well as an invitation to sexual touching.
Police said McRae was a youth program co-coordinator with an after-school program based at Joseph Brant Senior Public School.
Police allege he sexually assaulted one student while at the school. Police launched an investigation in May after the victim told her parents and sister, and then made a complaint to police.
Police are providing few details, but believe there may be more victims.
