Woman rescued from 2-alarm Kensington Market fire

A woman has been rescued from the second floor of a semi-detached home in Kensington Market where a two-alarm fire broke out on Monday afternoon.

A woman has been rescued from the second floor of a semi-detached home in Kensington Market where a two-alarm fire broke out on Monday afternoon.

Firefighters are responding to the call on Nassau Street. They were called to the scene after 1:30 p.m.

Initial reports suggested that smoke was coming from the basement.

The woman who was rescued came out of the building on a ladder.
