Two men were shot early Saturday morning in what Toronto police believe was a targeted shooting.

Police received a call at 4:23 a.m. ET about gunshots fired near the corner of Oakwood Avenue and Vaughan Road.

The two victims, who were 27 and 18 years old, were on foot in the parking lot of a 24-hour convenience store when three or four men drove up in a dark four-door sedan, police said.

The 27-year-old suffered a gunshot graze to his head. The 18-year-old was shot in the back.

Both victims were taken to Sunnybrook Hospital and neither injury is currently considered life-threatening.

Toronto police wouldn't say whether the incident was gang-related, but did say they believe it was a targeted shooting.

The victims knew each other but were not related, police said.

Police also said the victims are not co-operating with the investigation.
