Good afternoon!

Toronto is preparing for its first blast of winter this evening.

The weather forecast is calling for heavy snow at times mixed with ice pellets beginning this evening.

Environment Canada predicts it will change to rain before morning, with a risk of freezing rain overnight.

The current temperature is -5 C but feels like -13 C.

As of 5:30 p.m. there were no serious traffic incidents to report.
