String of sex assaults prompts police warning

Toronto police issued a warning Thursday about a series of sexual assaults in the Yonge and Finch area.

Police say one person may have committed as many as six assaults in the neighbourhood over the last few months.

They've released a composite sketch of their suspect.

Police describe him as  Asian, 20 to 35 years old, with short dark and possibly spikey hair. He is about five feet nine inches tall.

Officials believe four of the six assaults happened within blocks of Yonge and Finch.

Police said they were brazen attacks that often happened in daylight hours between 4:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Five of the six victims were Asian women in their 20s and 30s.

Police are hoping the public will come forward with information about the case.

Along with the composite sketch of the man police have released an image captured by a security camera.
