Stretch of QEW reopens after power outage caused huge traffic delays

Friday afternoon traffic came to a standstill on a stretch of the Queen Elizabeth Way between Dixie Road and Highway 427 due to some down power lines on the border of Etobicoke and Mississauga.

Friday afternoon traffic came to a standstill on a stretch of the Queen Elizabeth Way between Dixie Road and Highway 427, due to some downed power lines on the border of Mississauga and Etobicoke.

Ontario Provincial Police say the westbound lanes and eastbound lanes that were closed on the QEW near Dixie are now reopened.
