Shooting sends two young men to hospital

A double shooting in Toronto's east end sent two young men to hospital on Monday night.

A double shooting in Toronto's east end sent two young men — one 19 years old, the other 16 — to hospital on Monday night.

Police responded to calls of gunshots at 4110 Lawrence Ave. E., near Kingston Road, just before 11 p.m.

One victim was found on third floor of the building. Another left the scene and went to a nearby residence on Celeste Drive. Police believe both men were shot in the hallway of the building.

One victim was shot in the chest; the other in the lower back. Both were conscious and in stable condition.

There was no word from police on suspects.
