Second trial in Johnathan case due to begin
A second trial was due to begin on Tuesday for three teens accused of stabbing a 12-year-old boy to death in an East York home.
Police found the boy, who can be only identified as Johnathan, in the basement of his Dawes Road house in November 2003. The boy's older brother, now 18, and two of his friends, both now 17, have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
They cannot be identified under terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The first trial ended without a verdict after three months when a judge declared a mistrial last February.
