The lights are now back on for residents in the St. Lawrence Market area, after damaged underground equipment left them without power overnight.

Toronto Hydro says the power outage affected customers in the area bordered by Front Street and Queen's Quay and Parliament and York streets.

Reports of an outage started rolling in around 7 p.m. Wednesday and Toronto Hydro was quick to tweet their apologies to Raptors fans who might be missing the game.

Toronto Hydro says that underground equipment in the area had suffered "extensive damage" and crews worked through the night to fix it.

Power was restored just before 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
