Police say aspiring rapper was shot in studio

Toronto police say a man who was dropped off at a Scarborough hospital with gunshot wounds was shot at a nearby recording studio.
Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux told reporters Sunday that Anthony Spencer was shot inside a recording studio located at 799 Brimley Rd., south of Lawrence Avenue East.
Spencer, an aspiring rapper who performed under the name Tony Trapz, was at the studio to record, Giroux said.

The injured Spencer was dropped off at Scarborough General Hospital at about 5 a.m. Saturday and the 23-year-old died shortly thereafter.
The people who dropped Spencer off at the hospital spoke briefly with staff and even helped the injured man onto a gurney. But they left the hospital before police arrived.
On Sunday, Giroux said that police subsequently located those people and interviewed them, but they have not been fully upfront with police about what they know.
Police have located the two vehicles that arrived at the hospital and dropped Spencer there. One of those vehicles, a silver Nissan, has been seized by police.
