Toronto police say two people are facing charges following an incident in which an infant was allegedly dropped.

Police say the three-month-old was taken to hospital on Wednesday and doctors found numerous serious injuries.

Maria Sahebi, 39, was charged Thursday with failing to provide the necessities of life and is to appear in court March 28.

Christopher Abbott, 36, was charged Friday and was to appear in court Saturday on charges of aggravated assault and failing to provide the necessities of life.
