Toronto Pearson expects today to be one of the busiest of the year with an estimated 121,000 people passing through the airport.

Officials ask all travellers to check their flight status before heading to the airport and arrive at least two hours before any scheduled flight, even if you're flying domestically.

Similarly, keep any gifts unwrapped to minimize delays at security checkpoints.

Carollers and Ms. Clause will be helping bring some holiday cheer to people caught in long lineups throughout the day.

Big holiday lineups are also expected at Billy Bishop airport downtown, so be sure to check your flight status

Nearly two million passengers will travel through the Toronto-area airports during the three-week period surrounding Christmas.
