OPP report 4 crashes involving alleged drunk drivers on 401

The Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to four separate crashes involving alleged drunk drivers in Toronto overnight, all of which occurred along Highway 401.

The first reported crash involved two vehicles and occurred at about 11 p.m. on the eastbound ramp leading to Markham Road.

A 19-year-old Scarborough man faces two impaired-related charges.

Three-and-a-half hours later, police were called to a single-vehicle collision on the highway near Leslie Street.

A 37-year-old North York man was charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a breath sample.

At 3:17 a.m., police were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash near Allen Road.

In this case, a 20-year-old Toronto man faces an impaired-related charge.

About 20 minutes after that collision, police responded to a single-vehicle crash near Bayview Avenue.

A 19-year-old Toronto man faces an impaired-related charge.

None of the allegations against the accused have been proven in court.
