Man, 30, dead in North York shooting

A 30-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the Don Mills Road and Steeles Avenue East area Thursday evening, Toronto police say.

A 30-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the Don Mills Road and Steeles Avenue East area Thursday evening, Toronto police say.

Emergency crews were called to 4005 Don Mills Road around 7:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting, arriving to find a man in serious condition with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Police say the victim was taken to hospital by friends. By 9:15 p.m., police say, he had been pronounced dead.

On Friday morning, Toronto police identified the victim as Michael Huynh, 30, of Toronto.

Police also released an image of a vehicle similar to the one they believe the suspect was driving, or in possession of, at the time of the shooting. It's a matte black matte 2016 Audi RS7.

If anyone has information, or has dash cam video from the area at the time of the homicide, is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
