One man is dead and two others wounded after three separate stabbings in Toronto over the weekend.

23-year-old man fatally stabbed after fight broke out in Noble Park

One man is dead and two others wounded after three separate stabbings in Toronto over the weekend.

Police say 23-year-old Russell Sahadeo died in hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach early Sunday morning at a park near Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West.

Police say they responded to a stabbing call at Noble Park at around 12:20 a.m. Sunday. They said that a 23-year old man was with his friends at the park when they were approached by two other men.

According to police, a fight broke out and one of the men stabbed the 23-year old. The two men then drove off.

Police say Russell Sahadeo was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

2 other stabbings

One of the suspects is Asian and the other is black, police said. Both men are in their early 20s.

Around about the same time another man was stabbed in the abdomen and taken to hospital in serious condition.

Detectives in southwest Etobicoke are investigating the second stabbing that happened near Lakeshore in the Brown's Line area. Paramedics say that victim was transported to hospital with serious injures.

Police say they got a call about a third incident in which a man was stabbed at around 4:30 a.m. on Falstaff Avenue. His injuries do not appear to be serious and there is no information on a suspect or suspects yet.
